A downloadable game for Windows
Mine blocks, place them on the canvas, and unleash your creativity.
Colouring Blocks is a voxel‑genre tech demo built in Unreal Engine, powered primarily by C++ with supporting Blueprint systems. The project began as an extension of an existing voxel sandbox that already included:
- Chunk generation
- A mining mechanic
- XP and level‑up progression
My task was to expand and enhance this foundation using C++ as the driving force. The new features I implemented include:
- Block placement
- Multiple chunk types, each capable of spawning different voxel variants
- A functional inventory system
- A hotbar and selection system
- An improved UI to support the new gameplay systems (built with Blueprints and C++)
The result is a small but cohesive sandbox experience that demonstrates engine‑side programming, UI integration, and feature extension within an existing codebase.
